Letters: Parian alphabet (Jeffery, Johnston, LSAG2, 302), with C for Β, Γ for Λ, Ο for Ω and diphtong ΟΥ, and Ω for Ο. Ionic dialect

Origin: Thasos

Dating: first half of the fifth century BC

Findspot: Thasos; found in 1950, re-used in the narthex of the early Christian basilica erected in the ancient agora

Current location: now in the archaeological museum of Limenas, Thasos (inv. 895)

Translation:
[ - - - (he)] shall do it. If anyone [violates what has been laid down], he shall be deprived of the wine and the vinegar by [the one who den]ounces him. He [shall owe] one hekte per amphora to Athena Poliouchos and to Apollo [Pythios], and another to the one who denounces him. This [man] shall give [security] in front of the Three Hundred, as in case of violences. As for the wine, any oath of ignorance shall be of legal value, neither [from citizen n]or from alien.
